Colin Craig, local artist and member donates Nautical Art to Union

Colin joined the Marine Workers in 1972 and retired from a career as a shipwright with Bel-Air Shipyard. Meanwhile, Colin kept busy creatively, emerging as a famous artist, with many of his paintings currently on display in galleries and in private collections around the world. Recently, in response to news that the Marine Workers had lost all our nautical paintings in the 2015 fire at our office, Colin kindly donated two beautiful paintings for the benefit of all our members.

The Marine Workers & Boilermakers Industrial Union is extremely proud to support our members’ children with scholarships to help continue their education. In recognition for his generosity, this year the Executive is pleased to announce that a thousand-dollar scholarship will be presented in the name of our long-time member Colin Craig.
